Ok, the final project for the Second Year of Univeristy.
A solo project where we had to make something playable, demonstrating a level or sequence using Macromedia Director.
Well, I made an RPG demo based upon an old concept I first envisioned way back in high school with a friend - Paul Keats (He's on DA somewhere).
This is just a screen shot from the main title screen.
I knew my programming skills are not that great so I concentrated on visual presentation as usual. By this time I had gotten really interested in Interface design, probably due to all the damn presentations we had to make.
Anyway, I'll be submitting a screen shot of the actual demo in a sec.

Ichigoy the way..what's with the capes? rukia:We were told to bring them because of sandstorms here. ichigo:by who? Rukia:my brother. he also said, "let that punk run around Hueco Mundo for awhile and see how they like it. Ichigo: that jerk!
Not sure what you mean, but if you mean did I go to a school which taught me how to do this, then no, I didn't learn it from school, college or University.
This is something I learnt to do on my own experimenting with filters, textures and layer styles over the years.
I suggest you grab a copy of photoshop, GIMP or something simplier and just keep practicing an testing stuff.
It's something which only experience with what your tools can do. I'm sure there are loads of courses and school which teach photoshop, teach you how to use the tools it provides but it still boils down to your own creativity and experience. Everyone knows how to use a pencil etc.
Hope that helps.

LOL ... you didnt hear it from me but... apparently... the internet is full of similar programs or .. *cough* significantly discounted *cough* versions of the software.
I got my copy from University, Student versions are usually a good 30-40% cheaper.
